Of the five NCP Values, which is your favorite? Why?

“Focus on excellence and get great results” is my favorite NCP Value. Aristotle once said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.” Only by focusing on our goals every day and shaping our actions to meet these goals can we truly achieve excellence. Excellence is a commitment that we must work toward each day.

What personal or professional accomplishment are you most proud of? Why?

During college, I was on my fraternity’s executive board, where I was able to be a part of our service outreach and philanthropy efforts. We partnered with a local non-profit called Extra Special People, an organization that creates opportunities for people with disabilities to engage with their community. We held semesterly social events with the kids and were able to give them a taste of a normal college experience. Many of the kids looked forward to this as their favorite event of the year. It was really rewarding to be a part of this and see the impact that it had on the kids’ lives.

Besides the NCP Values, what are some words of wisdom you live by?

“No pressure, no diamonds.” – Thomas Carlyle. In order to truly achieve something great, I think it is important to consistently challenge yourself and get out of your comfort zone. This is the only way that we can better ourselves and sharpen our toolset.

What fact about you might people be surprised to learn?

I’ve been kayaking in the Bermuda Triangle. My family did a night trip to a bioluminescent bay in Puerto Rico, which marks the western point of the Triangle.
