Of the five NCP Values, which is your favorite? Why?

My favorite value “Focus on excellence and get great results.” Growing up, my high school’s motto was “The Pursuit of Excellence.” This motto has stuck with me throughout my life, and I truly believe that if one pursues excellence, success will follow.

What personal or professional accomplishment are you most proud of? Why?

During college, I got involved with Junior Achievement, the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students in grades K-12 about entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs, and I remain involved to this day. I’m incredibly proud of the positive impact we’ve had on the lives of so many kids.

Besides the NCP Values, what are some words of wisdom you live by?

The Confucius quote, “Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.” People, myself included, have a tendency of overcomplicating things in an attempt to solve a problem. I truly believe that simplicity is complex, and simple solutions require the most advanced level of thinking.
